Body
-INTRO A strange point-and-click kind of adventure set to show how many ways there are to use a DS and hopefully a good start for a new IP that will keep on improving. -GRAPHICS(Tech) A top-down view of the world in (low) polyonal cel-shading on the lower screen and various static renders on the top one. Generally a good achievement. -GRAPHIC(Art) Painfully average. -AMBIENCE Atmospheric tunes, but they are too easy and repeated. -CONTROLS Even if mostly on a gimmick level, there have never been so many different things to do to complete a game. Normal game control are easy & quick, with maybe the only exception being the double-tap.Mind
-DIFFICULTY CURVE Quite easy throughout, you could get stuck for a while on a couple of puzzles but nothing major. -LEVEL DESIGN Clear but basically on-rails. The mansion's layout is fairly unrealistic. -PUZZLE DESIGN Good variety due to the controls, but nothing that hasn't appeared somewhere else before. -FIGHTING SYSTEM N/A-MAGIC SYSTEM N/A -DEBUGGING Everything according to plan.Soul
-ORIGINALITY & INNOVATION It's a point-and-click style adventure on a Nintendo handeld with touch-screen controls and many weird feats. -STORY Typical Japanese modern drama of familiar mysteries and western old houses. Told in an interesting way but lame at times. -ATMOSPHERE It never really catches on. Locales are lifeless and the story is not focused enough. -ARTISTIC VALUE An interesting game proposal, with a lame story and weird controls. -PURE GAMING FUN Old-style fun mixed with brand new ideas.Extra info
-MULTIPLAYER N/A -ONLINE N/A -HOURS TO COMPLETION 5-6 -PLAYER CUSTOMISATION The main charater will have the same birthday as you. That's it. -EXTENDED & REPLAY VALUE A couple of endings.Final Score
A new take on a genre that was thought dead. They might be gimmicks, but still inspire.
